So disappointed. Have been to Antonio 's many times, and mostly quite satisfied. So, I bring my team here for a Holiday lunch (and had bragged about how good it was). As often happens, when you brag, you live to regret it. We were seated promptly, but at a table that had a malfunctioning end (half moon) leaf. My colleague pointed it out and the server was completely unconcerned. I dropped the leaf, and simply moved into the table. No one was crowded and I didn 't have to worry about my food sliding into my lap. I asked the server a question about one of the menu choices (what was in it) and she said, I don 't know. .Went for New Years’ Eve 2023. Very disappointed even though we have eaten here several times . Somehow, we missed it was a 3 course price fixed meal . We had family visiting and don’t usually eat that much. Our waitress seemed to not want to be there. We could see other tables with bread, but had to ask for some when our salads were served. Then, we had to ask and wait for butter. Some oil for dipping bread was placed in a plate. But, no more was offered. My husband received the wrong salad he had asked for no dressing as he is very sensitive. He began eating it because you couldn’t really see the dressing, but it bothered him. Do not pay attention to the negative reviews, this place is a perfect 10 out of 10! What an incredibly charming restaurant. My husband and I spotted the balcony and decided to give it a try. As we entered the lower part of the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised to find a store/bakery/restaurant all in one! We were given the option to dine downstairs or upstairs for a more romantic atmosphere, and we chose upstairs without hesitation. When I mentioned I was feeling a bit chilly in my dress, one of the workers or perhaps the manager kindly offered me her scarf. Such a sweet gesture. I've heard great things about this restaurant for years and was excited to go. This was during the week leading up to Christmas, so that may have been a factor in a less than amazing meal. The service was very slow and our waitress was not attentive to our table. Some of the meals served at our table were very tasty, some were good. Not every meal was served hot (this was a party of 7 people). The chocolate cake was disappointing, seemed like a cake you could get at any mid-priced restaurant, and most likely not freshly baked. I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food consisted of delicious home-style cooked meals. I ordered the rosemary chicken, while my boyfriend had the chicken with artichoke. Both dishes came with baked vegetables topped with optional cheese. We enjoyed a glass of Riesling with our meal and finished off with a slice of carrot cake for dessert. The restaurant also had a store inside with a variety of Italian items, including desserts, deli items, and meals to-go. Our server, Mace, provided excellent service.
I cannot believe I’ve lived nearby for so long and it took me so long to come here, this place was amazing. The service was so great, friendly, and quick, and the food was incredible! We had lunch so ate downstairs at the market and we will absolutely be back soon.
