Aodake Sushi And Steak

I decided to try this restaurant for the first time, but I was immediately struck by how hot it was inside. The air conditioning seemed to be broken, and the other patrons were fanning themselves to stay cool. After waiting a minute or two without anyone approaching us, we took it upon ourselves to find a seat since it was clear that the staff noticed us but didn’t come over. After about seven minutes of waiting, we still hadn’t been served, and even the person cleaning the doors didn’t acknowledge us. Frustrated, we left. With plenty of other sushi restaurants to choose from, I couldn't stay any longer and headed to my favorite sushi spot in Romeoville instead. Overall, I’d rate the experie...

Food was average at best. Small portions and things just tasted off from what I have had at other Japanese Steakhouses. The grill was not cleaned as meticulously as I have seen at other Steakhouses either. The lower priced food makes it an attractive place to eat but the portions and flavors just aren't there. Went in for lunch and sat at the habachi station. It was very entertaining. Once seated, depending on the meal choice, you cam start with a miso soup and salad. Within the photo, you can see steak, veggies, rice, and chicken being prepared. The experience does go by fast so enjoy! The cook was funny and asked how you would like the protein cooked and if there are any allergies. He also threw in little games like catching broccoli with your mouth. The over all ambiance of the area with the habachi was playful. A great time!

Went here last minute on Aug. 30th to celebrate my son’s 30th GOLDEN birthday. What a great choice! Everything was delicious Alex was a top-notch waiter. Sushi, soup, stir fry, hibachi.. they do it right! Alex even brought out some complimentary ice cream sang Happy Birthday to my son! I've ate here many times.. hibachi grill side, and ordered and picked up sushi many times as well.. Never had a bad experience, the food is awesome... Love the spider maki!

I have been going here for many years now. Great food and great service at least 90% of the times. A little bit off on occasion but still worth it.
