We are here twice on a 3 day business trip the food is excellent really authentic, excellent sushi, soups, wine and coffee.The owners are really friendly doing all they could to help us with the menu and picking a selection.Best of all was the first night when we arrived in Bochum we went straight to the restaurant after checking into our hotel, they were just closing but very kindly gave us a lovely meal when we explained we had just come from the airport.That was a very kind thing to do and we really appreciated it, having great food made it all even better.Thanks again we will return if again in Bochum.
The center of Bochum has been missing a good quality non-all-you-can-eat Japanese food place. The food here is high-quality and there is a wide variety of dishes, many of which you won't find other local Japanese places. The service is very friendly and helpful. I have come here a few times and had a few different things but I have not had anything that wasn't at least very good. The appetizers are as well as the main dishes excellent and they are not just the typical fried things you get in a lot of Japanese places in Germany.
I have just had a light dinner travelling on business. This was open on a Sunday night. I eat a lot of Japanese food when travelling and this was really good. I had an authentic yakitori with perfect crispy skin, some gyoza and fished with the house speciality roll with scallop and slightly spiced tuna. The roll was sensational. The service was excellent anf the price very reasonable. I cannot recommend Aosora too highly.
wow! excellent, tasteful sushi. I had the small vegetarian sushi menu with shijitake maki and several nigiri everything has a beautiful deep, savory taste. the mixed dessert plate was also amazing. we also really enjoyed the decoration and atmosphere with interesting metal sculptures and samurai paraphernalia. above all with friendly service, and they have a winner.

It would have been five stars if it wasn't for the smarmy jazz sax in the background that made me feel like I was making an indecent proposal with every sentence. However the food was really good and I especially liked the mixed dessert. I am not a dessert person but I loved the sesame balls. I repeat, the sesame balls are the best.
I think the sushi is better than at the nearby best friends, and I liked the man and woman team type of vibe they work, even if that makes the service a little slower.
Great great sushi and wine, we enjoyed the dinner very much! Friendly service but not so easy to communicate in english.
Really good food. Some of the as vegetarian labeled dishes turn out to contain fish sauce. Some vegan options available.

The ingredients weren't fresh and the fish was unhygienic! I had stomachache after eating sushis here.
