This is the sister restaurant to Cafe Alaia, just up the street. Vincenzo Alaia keep a close watch on both venues and sees to it that they adhere to the same high standards. The food here is superb (there’s a new chef from Italy who is even better than his predecessor) and though the wait staff (in the absence of the wonderful Cesar) is a bit green and easily overwhelmed, it’s still a very satisfying place to spend an evening. Great food, a little overpriced, in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
First we ate outside so noise level inside may be different. Having said that we had one of the best Westchester date nights we've ever had. Food was just delicious we shared a caesar salad and panna cotta I had the duck and my husband had a cavatelli waiter (Caesar) was helpful and attentive; wine by the glass was great we had tastes. I'm beyond excited to find this place and look forward to being a regular. It felt like the yummy places you wander into in Italy...We'll be back.
Great food. Service was a bit slow but everyone was really nice. Feast atmosphere, too. My only complaint is the price of the specials. They are not on the menu, so you don’t see the price until you pay the bill and I think they were overpriced. The scallop entree, with three scallops topped with three medium size shrimp, was $42.
Not only was the food great, but the service which I'd argue is just as important, was phenomenal. I hope I spell his name right, but Cesar was fantastic, warm, and helpful. We were not able to get the name of the other person who also served our table, but also, chef's kiss ! We'll be back! Réservez une table maintenant
I had another wonderful meal at this restaurant – paella, salad, and tartufo for dessert. As a bonus, I got to enjoy a live performance by a Portuguese singer accompanied by guitar and drums. The music was not too loud, just right, and it added a lot of fun to the experience.
I had another fantastic meal! Roberto and his team are exceptional, and the food is outstanding, just like always. We enjoyed pizza, mussels, and an arugula salad, all of which were delicious. The wine was great as well!
I've visited this restaurant several times and I’ve never been disappointed. The food is fantastic, and the service is consistently excellent. I also really appreciate the small, intimate atmosphere of the place.
