Located a couple of blocks from the Kantonschule, the Apotheke staff greeted me with a smile. They offer a few sidewalk tables and inside there are seats at the window, tables and chairs and a large high table at the back of the room. If you dine in, grab a seat first then head to the counter to place your order. I live nearby and really love this place. Its easy and welcoming, just like hanging out with cool friends. The interior is stylish but still cozy and the owners and staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. I like that it is not a classical restaurant with reservations and personal waiter, its more casual and laid back. There is a good selection of fresh food and drinks (I particularly like the soups, salads and panini). Definitely worth a visit!
my daughter and her friend got terribly sick there after eating a panini and this is not the first time,last visit from another friend who also got sick there I guess the employees are not respecting hygiéne codes after going to the loo etc... The waitress was chewing a gum with open mouth, maybe her saliva fall into their food, this coffee is very popular and young students love to go there but getting terrible stomach aches afterward don't do

More than 30CHF for a panini and a salad... This is also far too expensive in the Zurich standard. Even if you want to add chicken to your salad, this is 5CHF more (what a joke. Typical luxury hype style place where everything is in goodwill and nothing is in food... For a little cheaper and better cross the road to REIF, for less than 15CHF you can have a better sandwich and a better salad.
We were looking forward to have lunch at the apoTHEKE, but when we arrived at about plus minus 14:30 there was simply said no food on offer - really nothing. In addition we could not really feel any attempt from the stat to make an effort. Last but not least, the menu did not mention anything on the Burgers the website talks about. Not sure we will come again .....

Im almost daily there. Mostly to have a coffee and read some magasins. For Lunch they offer a salad buffet where you can choose your ingredients. (Chicken costs extra) I can recommend their homemade mustard honey dressing.I would advise to come here before noon time or after 1:30.

This is a no-frills cafe that has good coffee and salads. It is often crowded at lunch, so go early, or late. Most of the clientele are students, staff, or faculty from the University, so the repeat business suggests that it must be good.
