Inflexible and unfriendly service boss. Two friends from Switzerland wanted to have dinner with us, five German vacationers, at a large round table. No option was offered (e.g. bar room) or we were shown the table so that we could decide for ourselves because of the space available. Statement “we are completely booked or overbooked” even though there were individual chairs available that could have been added. Bad hospitality even though “customer should be king”.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is very nice with the old wooden cabin look which I love. The breakfast was excellent. You can also park for free and it is just 5 min drive to Appenzeller centre. The have a sauna but I never tried it out. Service: 5
