Applebee's has amazing food BUT the service here is some of the slowest we've ever encountered in a restaurant! When we arrived it was between the lunch and dinner rush so I thought we'd be able to get our food relatively quickly. We got there right at about 2pm. Everything moved at a snails pace and there were ONLY 5 other booth\table\bar customer groups in there! 3 booths had 2 people each, 1 booth had 3 people and the bar customer was alone. Every plate of food that was brought to us was already cold. My husband and my son got their food and we're COMPLETELY done eating before I even got mine! It was ridiculous! We were greeted at our table by around 2:13pm and didn't get to leave until sometime after 3! With only 10 other people in there to serve?.... It should never take over an hour to receive your meal when the restaurant is that empty!
I want to start saying that our service was amazing. Although it was later close by the evening, and it was already busy as it was a holiday, our waitress was friendly, attentive, and we were served quickly. They lead a special for half-price removers we used. The boneless wings were fine, nothing special. The loaded wafers were delicious. The ducks were good and cheap. I got the black Cajun salmon and replaced the potatoes for Spanish rice. The desert was great too. We have the blue band Brownie; two huge slices of a warm Gooey Brownie with nuts and chocolate puzzle paired with two blades of ice. Conveniently located directly on the bowling alley. Good selection of foods at good prices and its solid option if you are looking for a place that remains late open.
