I went here after a tour of Contra Costa College. To be honest, I was very surprised. The people who work in the kitchen and work on the floor are all students in the culinary arts department and they are very well trained and they do their jobs well. I ordered the salmon, because it wasn't overpriced and because it was gluten free. The waitress was pretty knowledgeable and so what I thought would be an OK, run of the mill meal turned out to be quite delicious. I would recommend that anyone, who happened to be on campus would make a mistake if they didn't stop by for a meal. We came back for the Fall lunch buffet right before Thanksgiving and was so glad we did. For 13 dollars each, we had an amazing time and the food was perfect. Our favorite was the Ossobuco (oxtail) and the sides were amazing. Mac and cheese, potato, sweet potato gnocchi, salad, and fruit. They also had braised beef, taquitos and beef Kibbeh topped with mint sour cream. What a feast! Dessert was good too but simple (cake, pie, etc). Afterwards, we tipped in their scholarship fund box.
All I can say is amazing service, amazing food, and amazing prices. I'm so happy I found this jewel. Well if it wasn't for my niece being in the culinary program I probably wouldn't know of this place, so if I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. This place is awesome and the students are great I'll be back again!!! I definitely recommend this place.

What a fantastic hidden gem! Every dish I've tried here is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. I think it's managed by students from the Culinary Academy. Just be patient with the service, as they are still in the learning process.
The restaurant has a charming atmosphere, and it's impressive to see the students diligently putting in effort to get everything just right. The menu is delicious, and the space is very cute!
