We found this little Japanese restaurant tucked away in Patterson Lakes shopping center and decided to visit for dinner on a Saturday night with the whole family.(the restaurant is not the place you see in the image, nor is it in Kingston as the location in the search bar suggests.)We made a reservation not knowing how bust it would be, and when we arrived we were promptly seated by attentive staff. Thought we'd try this joint as we've moved locally. The service was poor, we were ignored as we walked when we walked in and the waitress seemed shocked by my question of "should we just take a seat anywhere?". If you've had great quality Japanese before then you will easily notice that the food here is seriously sub-standard. The beef tataki was like an overcooked "rare" discoloured cheap cut of rump. The gyoza was clearly from a pre packaged frozen bag. The sushi was really awful. The rice didn't even seem like authentic sushi rice. Salmon sashimi was way too cold and again, poor quality. We left most of our dinner on the table. Very disappointing for $120...
Really disappointed. Waited 30 min for takeway that cost me almost $60 only to get home and have cold food. Called to let the restaurant know and get "I'm really sorry, that should not have happened", "we have a new chef he's still learning" and "is there anything I can do" - you tell me what you can do for me!! I'm the one who spent $60 and waited 30 min, you tell me how you're going to fix it! Definitely wont be back in a hurry.
Went with a group of 8 people, and it was my first visit. My colleagues seemed to enjoy sushi and seafood type boats. Service a little slow, but pleasant staff.. I tried the crumbed chicken dish (sorry I can't recall the Japanese dish name) which was well presented, tasty and of reasonable size and value. Comfortable enough environment although small, and lacking a strong Japanese vibe, we all had an enjoyable evening.

The best japanese in the area, at least for sushi it is. We've tried multiple Japanese places in the south east and always come back to this one because it's our favorite. We always get friendly fast service from the staff and we love the food. The $55 deluxe sushi boat is the best around and perfect for 2-3 people to share.
They food was fantastic, good value, all fresh ingredients including sea food. Great customer service. Even my partner loved every dish and Japanese isn't his favorite. I am sad i don't live locally because i would be a regular customer. Also does take aways i noticed. Great sushi as well
As a couple we wanted a smaller share meal of Tempura prawns as an entree and curry Chilli prawns with side of steam rice. Curry prawn dish was smallish with smaller prawns. Not bad but a bit underwhelmed. $64 with a beer and Coke.
The food was simply amazing. Tasty & Fresh. And the portions were really filling , took some leftovers home and enjoyed later on in the evening. The customer service was absolutely Fantastic 10/10. Will be returning

I love this place. The zuke salmon is a favourite and the chicken katsu is just delicious! It's all delicious. Many returns to this place
This is one of the best local eats if not the best!! Always great sushi. ...a must try! I would eat here every night if I could!
