This is a fantastic restaurant located in the heart of downtown Redlands that serves excellent Thai food. I tried the red curry with pork belly, and let me tell you, it was incredibly good! The pork belly was perfectly fried, the curry was rich and flavorful, and the greens provided just the right amount of bitterness to complement the dish. The chicken fried rice was tasty, but it felt like it could use something more—maybe a bit of butter? I'm not a chef, so I'm not sure! The mango sticky rice was delicious, just like a dessert that you shouldn’t have if you want to save room for dinner. I was a bit let down by the Pad See Ew, which is usually a favorite of mine. Unfortunately, it lacked flavor when I ordered it to go, but I might give it another shot. The Mooyang grilled pork with rice and daikon was decent, while the fried rice with pork was outstanding—trust me, you’ve got to try it for the umami flavor! Make sure to visit after 10 PM for happy hour, where cocktails are two dollars off and beers are one dollar off, with food priced about two dollars less. We had an amazing dining experience with fantastic food! We tried the Som Tom, Peanut Noodles, and the Grilled Pork with sticky rice, all at medium spice level. The seasoning was just right for us—enough heat to be enjoyable without being overpowering. The drinks were excellent, and the bartender was more than willing to whip up a custom gimlet infused with muddled Thai basil. The front dining area is a bit cozy, but they do have a spacious back room. We’re definitely looking forward to returning to sample more dishes!
This restaurant is very close to earning a five-star rating. Overall, the food was delicious, except for the larb, which was excessively salty. The main issue, however, was the service. The server approached us just a couple of seconds after we received our food to ask how everything was, but then we had to hunt him down when we wanted another round of drinks and to get our takeout boxes at the end of our meal. Another highlight of this place is the incredible drinks. The cocktails are exceptionally crafted, with flavors that could easily justify a $20 price tag, yet are reasonably priced. You can even tell the bartender what flavor you’re craving, and they will create a custom drink just for you. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! If you find yourself in Redlands, be sure to stop by! Update: I just tried takeout for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious!
