We liked this restaurant. We found the hostess to be very friendly and personable, as well as knowledgeable about the menu. We were there on a Monday, which appears to be "roast beef and mashed potatoes dinner" special day, popular among the local residents. The roast beef was exceptionally good, especially considering that it was prepared in quantity as the daily special. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were prepared from scratch in the kitchen that day. The vegetables were prepared from frozen, which ought to be expected outside most major centers, but they were well prepared. Everyone got a tiny sliver of take for dessert as part of the special, but it also tasted like it was prepare...
This restaurant is a little hidden gem! I ate here twice while in Unity. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but is well worth the visit! I pulled into Unity late (around 9 p.m) and stopped here for supper. The cook had just cleaned the grill, but stated it was no problem to fire it back up. The waitress insisted we sit down and eat. They didn't close until 10 p.m and had only cleaned up early as they didn't know if anyone else would be coming in that night. We appreciated that they didn't turn us away and told us to take our time. They never once made us feel rushed. Other people walked in after us and the waitress and cook made sure they were all fed. One of only a few family restaurants in town. Ordered the Daily special. it was Greek style porkchops with choice of potato of spaghetti. Porkchop was very dry. and had a slice of process feta cheese melted on top, Salad was a bowl if iceberg lettuce even though greek was on the menu but I was told in's not available as a side with the meal. Service was very poor as my server decided half way through my service to sit down as eat her meal , passing me off to anther that knew nothing of customer service or the till. I've been told by other coworkers that some meal here are good. Fortunately I'm not here in Unity very often.
theres a reason most of the locals ive talked with stay away from this place, \i now understand why. My gripe was ordering their "special" at lunch, which was supposed to be 10.95, yet my meal turned out to be 20.00 . an ashtray size bowl of fries, to order seperate, that doesnt come with any meal was 5.00 extra, and my chicken finger dinner they made it look larger by cutting everything in half on my plate and hiding it with cesar salad. pretty sneaky to me.Sorry you got my money for the last time. avoid this place. We often go to the Armada for lunch and occasionally for supper. They have a pretty good selection of items to pick from their menu, but my favorite items are their salads. They have yummy Mediterranean, Seafood, Chicken Terriyaki and Taco salads that come with garlic toast. I have to admit that I haven't had a lot of their other items because their salads are so good. Would recommend a stop here if you are passing through Unity.
I stayed at the Ramada for work, and was very surprised to find the food to be delicious. I had Chinese special with ginger chicken, chicken balls, rice (shrimp but I opted out) and salad. Was really really good. Ordered a gin Caesar but they had no gin, or blush wine. But the food made up for it. Very friendly service also. Good job!
Nice Restaurant and a good location. I was not happy with my spaghetti dish, too sweet for me but my co workers dish looked good. I have eaten here before and was satisfied. We had breakfast here in the morning and that was very good. Nice pan fried hash browns rather then the one you get from the deep firer at other places.
