I would love to see them expand their vegan options but what they have is a nice, solid start. The food is reliably consistent and fresh. Hands down one of my fav places in Rockland. If you’re searching for delish food coupled with the epitome of that “Nyack Vibe” then you’ve come to the right spot. when they are vegan and find themselves in rockland county when they have to treat themselves to art cafe chalk bowl. I can't find out the spicy profile (because I would like to imitate this court at home) but it's divine. we get the Couscous/quinoa mix and then it is with crispy marinated tofu, cut mangles and whole green olives. we always get a side order of grape leaves with tahini sauce (again would like to know what they are in them).
This place is a favorite breakfast locale for my family. I wish some options were vegan and not vegetarian. There are a lot of egg and cheese options... The sabich was amazing during my veggie days but I've given up eggs since seeing what happens in the poultry business. Def a place I frequent but end up getting the same salads without the cheese or eggs. If anything...the hummus and fresh pita is what keeps this vegan back for more!
I live in NYC but I have relatives that live in Suffern and whenever I come out to visit we go here! The vegan rice bowl is so good, I crave it all the time. They also have vegan cream cheese for bagels! All options are clearly marked on the menu which is always helpful. Awesome place to go with non vegans because there’s great options for everyone.
