How we found it; First of all, we called in at a cafe in the main square and the waiter was so rude to us and said we could not have coffee or snacks because it was now food only (at 13:20 ? .. we carried on riding and just saw this little place so stopped. Cueva del Molino. The host owner was just delightful, he was funny courteous and couldn't be more helpful. Unfortunately we only had coffees (Cafe con Leche and Leche Leche and decided on Canarian Potatoes as a snack. It was simply brilliant and so tasty and we kept seeing plates of delicious looking food passing us to other tables. OK, we didn't eat fully, but from what we actually tasted and what we saw, you just know don't you ? Whatev...
Four years ago we visited Gran Canaria and stumbled across this cave-restaurant, and their AMAZING grilled cheese with jam. It 's better than any other queso frito that we tasted in Gran Canaria, and the taste called us back. We turned up just as the owner was closing up, but he very graciously re-opened for us and treated us to a number of local dishes. The chick pea and chicken and bacon dish is awesome... as are their Canary potatoes. All in all, you just have to visit this place.
I took some friends I don't have much confidence with and the truth is I noticed they weren't very happy. The attention is good, but the rations are scarce for what they are worth, which is not little. the account is a list of numbers without specifying concept, which at this time is unacceptable. improve that because I know the owners and they're good people.
Small but very interesting place to eat located partly in the cave. Local food perfect! No boring pizzapasta foods! Service was nice, the guy was very friendly. He recommended a steak, we had that and then also a classic Canarian dish of chickpeas. I love it! The view from the restaurant is incredible nice (or in fact across the street is view point).

Llegamos a Cueva del Molino después de recorrer el centro de la isla , lugar precioso, una cueva. La atención exquisita y el menú con las sugerencias que nos dieron buenísimo. Imprescindible probar el queso ahumado a la plancha con mermelada de tomate y la garbanzada. Como postre el polvo uruguayo buenísimo, muy dulce.
It's not the first time we've eaten in this restaurant and it won't be the last one. They still have the same values, good treatment, good gender and this is to appreciate.
Estaba muy rico todo, gambas al ajillo y huevos con patatas pimientos y chistorra, en especial el postre una tarta de galletas con dulce de leche de elaboración casera
