I have been here for over a decade the best food, prices and service, the owner has always been gracious and a pleasure to speak. This morning I ordered a BB driving 15 minutes a way at 7:30 to get it. I have it and it was a completely different order that I called and told them and the son. Didn't have a problem bringing her back? I'll make another one. I told him that I couldn't just come back because it's not right around the corner, anyway I'm going back at 12:30, they gave me my order I asked if they would force me, the girl said she had to ask her husband because she gave me the order I picked up and that I didn't have to pay for it. Eventually, I drove back at 12:30 AM. They gave me the correct order but told me I needed to confirm with the management first. The girl at the counter mentioned she would have to check with her team. When I picked up my new order and mentioned I shouldn’t have to pay for it since I had already paid for the wrong meal, one of the staff members cursed under his breath in front of other customers. Out of frustration, he pulled a wad of cash from his pocket, dropped a $20 bill on the counter, and told me to have a nice day.

Overall, this restaurant is a lovely spot for breakfast or lunch in the heart of Hartford. There was a steady stream of customers, which is always a good sign. However, there were a few things I noticed during our visit. We just moved to Hartford two weeks ago, and this was the first place we chose for breakfast. Being our first time, we weren’t sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves since there was no sign indicating this, so we ended up standing at the entrance for a few minutes. This is one of my favorite spots for breakfast. I often come here with my girlfriend. The place is small and uncomplicated, but the atmosphere is perfect. My expectations are always met, the prices are very reasonable, and I consistently enjoy my meals. We had a tuna sandwich and Ashley’s Special 2 for lunch (or brunch, really). The service is always fast. The only recommendation I have is that they should offer table-side payment; currently, you have to go to the front register to pay.

If you look up the definition of a “hole in the wall” I think you’ll find this restaurant. The service was friendly, positive and fast. The food was very fairly priced, with nice specials and combo meals. The food arrived quickly and was very good. Their potatoes were well cooked and had good flavor.
10.22.22 We parked right in front of the road. It wasn't really busy when we showed up. Several 1 person and a couple, couples. Our coffees came fast and service was fast. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Food also came super fast and good portions for the price. A great experience.
Came to Connecticut for the Tommy?s Tattoo Convention and that was the highest praised breakfast place! And it was absolutely spot on!!
