Popped by Ashton and Old whilst to catch up with a local friend who recommended the place.The service is great and staff attentive. Although at times they can forget to come take your order, or take a little bit too long. Otherwise very professional and attentive staff.The menu is limited but I wouldn't change this. The menu might also appear simple but the food and speed of service was not. I tried their salad and loved it. Drinks were also freshly prepared and delicious.Value wise - a tad bit over but you can tell with the nice ambience inside and the 'feel' of the place so you pay for a bit of that.A shame their air con wasn't quite up to scratch for near summer weather in a fairly empty...
Attractive cafe on the main drag.We were welcomed by a firm and direct welcome inviting us to sit anywhere. We perched at the front window bar seating.The first thing that struck us was how dirty the window was (cos you’re sitting about 40cms away from it) - a lot of spattering (hopefully food and not flies) that couldn’t possibly have just been from the last week. Long black arrived way to hot and within minutes looked like a Nescafé.Pork fried rice was a little on the sweet side - needed a salt or chilli kick. Pork belly pieces though were excellent.I always feel under pressure to rate a 4-5 star cafe 4 or 5 stars but we agreed that it was average.
My friend and I had lunch at Ashton and Old today for the first time and we were not disappointed! The A&O Burger was absolutely delicious, dripping with the juices of slow cooked pulled brisket combined with beetroot relish and Japanese mayo! So tasty! My friend ordered the Grilled Chicken Burger and was similarly impressed. Both burgers were served with Cajun Spiced Fries which were the perfect accompaniment. Great food, great service. Still so much on the menu to try....will definitely be back!
This was my second visit to Ashton & Old... I've now done breakfast & lunch here. The food here is phenomenal & funky...you can certainly get a standard breakfast here but why would you want to? Whether it's breakfast or lunch, I can't go past their cheese & potato croquettes! Absolutely delicious! Coffee here is also really nice & service is friendly & attentive!

Tuesday lunch at Ashton & Old on Old Cleveland Road. The service from the male waiter was just excellent from when we walked in the front door to when we left. The air-conditioned dining room was lovely on a hot Brisbane day. Our meals and coffees were excellent and the portion sizes were quite generous. We will definitely dine in at Ashton & Old again.
We regularly stop in at Ashton and old for a takeaway coffee before work. The staff are so friendly and their coffee is great! It's also cheaper for a takeaway coffee than most other cafes in the area. I tried one of their great juices the other day and it was amazing! Will have to stop in for breakfast sometime soon too. Highly recommend!
We come here occasionally last time it was chaos over 3 months and they were busy but service remained perfect we returned today. And the guy not only remembered us but also what we had last time. You cannot beat the level of service and food at this place. You need to just go here.
A great little spot for a quick breakfast, a chat or a casual business meeting. Coffee really hit the spot. Food was well priced and very tasty. Look forward to the next time I am in the area. I'll be back. Thanks team!

My partner and I regularly get our coffees here, plus we have the occasional breakfast. Always super friendly, fast service, consistently good coffee. Watch out for the freshly baked muffins on the counter!
A little disappointed as the place looks great but the brekky was pretty average. Coffee and juice were pretty good.
