I absolutely adore this restaurant!! If I could, I would give it 10 stars. Whenever we visit our daughter in Manhattan, this is our favorite place to get takeout from. The owner is incredibly sweet and always greets us warmly. It's hard to find Burmese food, but Asian Bowl serves the best Burmese dishes we've ever had. Our usual order includes Ohnoh Kawt Swe Soup, mixed vegetable curry, A Thote Sone, Burmese mai fun with shrimp, two types of tea leaf salad, and khauk swal kyaw, a Burmese noodle dish. Every dish is freshly prepared, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. It's a special treat for our family. The owner's friendly and kind demeanor makes the whole experience even more enjoyable....
We had a 14-person family dinner at Asian Bowl on Christmas Eve and it was fantastic! The place was small and cozy, meaning we had it to ourselves besides the people picking up takeout. There is a variety of dietary preferences in our family (vegan, gluten free, omnivorous) and the menu was accommodating to everyone. The service was prompt, friendly, and patient with us.
The restaurant can accommodate about 12 people at most. We all ordered different versions of the vegan chicken dish. It wasn't outstanding, but it was satisfying and filling. We had to keep our jackets on while eating because every time the door opened, a blast of cold air would come in. It might be better to opt for takeout instead.

This restaurant in NYC serves some of the best Burmese food I've ever had. The coconut soup was especially delicious. I also come here for Malaysian food, even traveling from Long Island to Elmhurst. The owners are friends of mine and I frequent this place often.
This restaurant has not closed. During the pandemic, it was only offering pickup service, but it has since undergone remodeling and has reopened, which is a relief. It seems that the only other vegan Asian restaurant in Rego Park has indeed closed.
The food and service at this restaurant are excellent. The pad thai is especially delicious. I also tried the chicken fried dumplings last time, and they were amazing - not greasy at all. I would definitely recommend this place.
This is my go-to restaurant for takeout. The food is delicious and they offer a variety of amazing mock meat options. The delivery service is extremely fast and the dining experience is always enjoyable.
