Had a terrible experience with managers of the Lakeside branch on Sat 25th Nov at about 4.40pm. I went in with my family of four and the restaurant was almost empty with only 6 people max. One of the manager's, Nicola asked us if we made a booking online otherwise we could not be sitted with a rude tone. We responded it was almost empty, then she hit us with the truth saying there is only one chef that afternoon and too much for the chef. We went online and realised the restaurant does not require a mandatory booking. The other female manager came and noted the same thing. Despite our children behaving well in their high chairs, we received multiple reminders from the staff to keep an eye on them. The food arrived quickly and was satisfactory, but the lack of customer service skills from the staff, particularly the manager, was glaring. We felt pressured to leave, as the manager repeatedly urged us to watch our kids who were simply playing around the table.

Yesterday, my family and I visited Ask Italian and were initially worried about getting a table due to the busy and full restaurant. However, the manager was able to find us a table, which was fantastic as we needed a large table for four. She was incredibly helpful and understanding, making sure we had everything we needed despite how busy they were. The staff, especially the manager Anna, were amazing and we all enjoyed our meal and left satisfied. Even our youngest child finished his plate! Thank you so much, Anna. We will definitely be returning.
I am utterly disappointed and all because the waitress Ioana is her name( apparently she is the manager too) instead of serving she started to offend me when I asked for a separate bill..calling me arrogant AND SHE WAS RAISING HER VOICE LIKE IN A MARKET PLACE. was a very embarrassing moment. The bill was just placed on the table without anyone asking for it and wrong drink order was added to the bill. Not recommended If you want to have a pleasant meal please look for another place.

Came for dinner after going to the cinema. Booked a table online, but there were plenty of seats available. Very friendly and welcoming staff, cannot fault the service from all staff. Delicious food, and reasonably priced. You can scan the code at the table to order and/or to pay the bill at the end. Love this, as is more convenient when the staff are busy waiting tables. I would definitely return.
My husband and I stopped off here on our way to visit family in Kent. We had booked a table and were seated immediately, we were given menus straight away. The food was quite a long time before being served and one didn't have the mushroom sauce. It was well cooked and nice, especially the fries. We paid using Tesco vouchers and everything went well.
Lauren was so amazing! Her service was impeccable. She’s the reason I’ll be back. She checked on us through your meal, i case we needed anything and omg I made her hand heater the world of cheese all by hand and not even a complaint/ she just smiled and said it was okay. Thanks for your service Lauren.
Visited the restaurant yesterday at lunchtime. Only us and another table inside. Service and food was quick. Food was quite bland and tasteless. Potatoes were undercooked and pasta had little flavour. I’m glad we paid with Tesco Clubcard vouchers as we would have begrudged paying for it.

The service was beyond lowest expectation. The waitrass Ioana bringed our bill without asking for it. When we asked for separate bill she told to my friend is arrogant. Also I asked for salt and peper and she ignored my request. Not a good place where you can enjoy your meal.
