My 66th birthday. Went with hubby and mum-in-law. Very smart and modern which creates an ambience of hushed class. Elegance. Service was at top level and even though the lunchtime bizoids were arriving en masse, we could still hear each other talk. 100% so far. Mum is a devotee of SA garfish so we ordered the Garfish Roulade which was a well cooked creative dish, but any other fish would have sufficed as the delicate sweet gar was masked. Octopus was well flavoured, a little chewy but still excellent. The Hickory Smoked Aioli was non-descript and could have come out of a jar. Best meal ever! Took some family from OS there for dinner they were a bit dubious when I suggested Italian cuisine as they had tried some previously that hadn't met their expectations but you really can't fault the food and service at Assagio- everyone was delighted with their meals. The quality of the food is excellent and serves are generous...we had a selection of entrees which were soooo good and the mains were delicious. Assaggio Ristorante on King William Road, Hyde Park will be closing its doors soon and they are inviting everyone take the last opportunity to dine at this wonderful establishment. The email came as a surprise to me for it was bittersweet. While part of me is sad to see such an acclaimed restaurant with fantastic food go, it was also heart warming to hear the owners want to retire while the rest are looking forward to taking a break and spending more time with their families. Last week we visited Assaggio to sample their new menu and also to say goodbye. Had dinner for 4 last night at Assaggio. Was extremely impressed with the staff upon entering the venue. Staff very professional and welcoming. Food was fantastic. Saturday night dinner with good food,excellent drinks and exemplary service. However the atmosphere was dampened by a table with young children and high chairs. This is not what we expect in this standard of restaurant.

If you want to impress you partner or friends. This is one restaurant to put on your list. In my opinion one of the top 10 in Adelaide. Great service, great food good wine list but as you would expect a little pricy.
