My husband and I recently had an overnight stay here. Our evening meal was very good and well presented and the staff who looked after us were friendly and attentive. Our room was on first floor at the front of the building. First impressions, it was clean and more than adequate for a one night stay. The chocolate brownies were a nice touch (if you like them and they was a nice selection of tea and coffee available. They was a good breakfast menu to chose from. It was a bit tricky to locate the restaurant, even though we drove from Washington, South Tyneside, but it was definitely worth it for the wonderful meal we had to celebrate a friend's birthday.
