It 's a fantastic gem of a place this is a treasure of charm amongst the concrete sea of La Plagne. It is quirky, the customer service is definatekly not polished, but the food was without doubt the best we had in LP and the place is lovely, rustic, charming, open fire, old barny, ...just great. Cote du Beouf for 2 was plenty for 2 adults and 2 little kids and amazing (especially the sauces). Tarte Tatin was simple but perfect too and home made. If you like refined elegance and like to complain if things aren 't done exactly your way, then maybe go elsewhere. If you like great food, real people, finishing dinner with a shot of local fire water and a slightly precarious walk across the piste...
We knew we 'd arrived at the right place from the 'Pulp Fiction ' dancing music blaring from the outside speakers: pushed our way inside, out of the whirling snow and found ourselves in a full on party atmosphere: It was completely brilliant. Found a table for 4 out back, towards the loos, and we were well looked after. My plain omelette and salad was huge and delicious at euro 13, but I was pretty jealous of the Lyonnaise salad my friend had. Beers and a round of Schnapps (probably from the landlord? ensured we really had a great time. Yes all around us people were dancing on the tables. Un cadre magnifique, un chalet tout en bois, une décoration traditionnelle avec une cheminée dans les salles du restaurant. Le restaurant est situé au milieu des pistes mais reste accessible depuis la route à la hauteur de MMV. La carte propose des plats savoyards classiques ainsi qu'un plat du jour qui varie. Une mention spéciale pour le plat du jour vraiment excellent (côte de cochon), tandis que la fondue est correcte en termes de goût. Les tarifs élevés correspondent à ceux d'un restaurant d'altitude.
Went here on the chalet hosts night off and loved it! They picked us up in their cow van and took us up the hill and then we walked across the piste in the snow which was fun! 3 of us shared raclette which was a really good sized portion and delicious. I had apple pie for dessert.. also great! The staff were friendly and while we waited for the van home we were treated to some complimentary genepi! Awesome evening!

Un charmant ancien hangar à bétail niché sur le flanc de la montagne. Au Bon Vieux Temps vaut toujours le détour. Plafonds bas, décor rustique partout et un personnel formidable ! On se croirait presque dans un musée vivant. Ils proposent un excellent déjeuner copieux pour les skieurs et le meilleur chocolat chaud de toute la montagne.
Superbe découverte de ce restaurant authentique qui a été repris en 2022 par une équipe chaleureuse et sympathique. Les plats sont gourmands et copieux, comme les os à moelle longs comme le bras, sans parler de l'excellente tartiflette ou du Mont d'or Charcuterie. Bref, n'hésitez pas à vous y arrêter.
Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans ce chalet splendide et confortable. Le propriétaire est très accueillant et disponible. Je recommande vivement cet endroit.

The onion soup was the best I tasted in 2 weeks. All other food was very good. Great atmosphere. It is the best restaurant during our 2 weeks of holidays.
