Auberge De La Munia

Crepes were advertised outside this auberge so we dropped in. The crepes are freshly made and there was a wonderful range of toppings. We had the Bretonne topping which turned out to be a delicious caramel sauce. What a pity there was only enough batter left at 4 pm for one crepe! Surely it doesn't take long to whip up some eggs, milk and flour? It's a great location and if you do stop off there for a crepe and a coffee, visit the church nearby which was all but demolished in 1915 in an historic avalanche but has since been lovingly rebuilt and restored.

Situated 1500m above sea level, in a little hamlet surrounded by the mountains, 20 minutes drive from the cirque de Troumouse, you feel lucky to spend a night in this place. Then you add a delicious three course home made meal served by the most friendly and welcoming people and you wish you could stay longer. A little hidden gem.

Si nous voulons rajeunir, c'est l'endroit parfait. Beaucoup de neige pour faire de luge, raquettes. le propriétaire et sa fille très chaleureuse et serviable. des repas très bons et copieux que nous avons servis, ainsi que des petits déjeuners. Je recommande.

We stayed here demi pension, and had a view of the Cirque de Troumouse which was stunning. The little hamlet is very quaint and the auberge has a really good atmosphere. My husband liked the craft beer!

We found this restaurant after a morning's canyoning and needed some warm food. Lovely terrace, good service and tasty local cuisine hit the spot for a reasonable price.
