Auberge Du Pont - Réservation de table

The outdoor restaurant was empty. More than 30 tables were free. We chose a table with a view which was made for five people. We were four and was immediately told very impolitely by the waitress that here we couldn’t sit as we were only four and was asked to chose a table made for four. The other free tables made for four were of the exact same size. The waitress could have just removed the extra glass, but she preferred to move us, which we then accepted. My husband and boys then ordered the most expensive dish in the menu. I was not hungry just thirsty so ordered no dinner. The waitress got almost upset that we were four but only three were dining and said that I would have to pay 4 Euro’...

We had the menu de jour. Croustillant de chèvre salad (goats cheese in filo pastry) to start ,lamb cutlets for main and rhubarb tart for dessert. The food was great, service was good and the food was served on the terrace which was shady and cool. We stopped here for lunch on a canoe trip on the river Vezere and the restaurant is a short walk from the small beach were we left the canoe. The price was around fifty Euro for two with a pechet of rose and a bottle of water.

End of tourist season and the village was quiet as was the restaurant. However the person serving us, he was also there visiting his mother, spends some month in Vietnam each year, treated us with upmost respect. That continued onto a lovely lunch what we in Australia call a good pub lunch) with a good local wine adding to the ambience. Outside as the weather was sunny so he set up table especially for us. We smiled long after we had left. Full marks in all respects.

Nous étions en séjour dans les environs et on nous a recommandé de visiter , alors nous l'avons fait. Le cadre est magnifique, le personnel était super, et les Pizzas !!! oh wow elles étaient fantastiques, nous avons vraiment adoré. Même les enfants n'ont pas pu les finir. Si vous êtes dans le coin, visitez cet endroit, vous ne le regretterez pas. Réservez une table maintenant

Ok, ce n'était pas notre premier choix, mais c'était 20h et les premiers que nous avons appelés étaient fermés... Eh bien, ils nous ont ravis très bien, service rapide, très bonne nourriture et le vin. Nous avions le foie gras et le saumon et la truite. Toutes les portions délicates et justes. Certainement une bonne table dans la zone

Delicious fresh food. We have eaten here twice so far and will book a table for our last night. I have eaten the trout with tagliatelle very fresh and delicious and we have had the canard , steak and Pizza. All were very good. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Ne vous attendez pas à être servi dans un délai raisonnable (ou même déraisonnable). Nous nous sommes assis là pour plus de 20min sans même être offert de l'eau essayé de les appeler plusieurs fois, complètement ignoré

We love the ice cream here! And the crepes! Outdoors on the terrace, by the river, in the warm sun of a late summer afternoon, you'd be hard pushed to find better. The ice cream is made locally and is excellent. Réservez une table maintenant

Une erreur a été commise avec notre réservation. Ils pensaient que nous arrivions à douze. Cependant, nous avons été rapidement accueillis même si le restaurant était bondé. De bonnes pizzas pour les enfants.

Ces pizzas sont de loin les meilleures de la Dordogne. Je recommanderais également les délicieuses salades proposées, les portions sont généreuses aussi.
