Auberge Du Soleil

A big thanks to the Auberge de Soleil for taking the initiative to offer the local community an amazing take away menu through the second covid lockdown. My family and i have ordered dinner for 6 Friday nights in a row and a Sunday lunch. We have only good feedback. The mix of Landes, French and Creole cuisine is an interesting change to the normal menus in the area. I have eaten the beef ,prepared in different styles each week,the quality of the beef is exceptional, beautifully prepared, and very large portions. Last night my wife and daughter had cabillaud en croute de citron,and found it to be a very tasty, perfectly cooked and presented dish. The risoto was very creamy and was a real risoto in my wifes words.The startes were acra with a spicy sauce, highly recommended. The value for money we have found to be exceptional. Always very big portions prepared from high quality products. The menu is varied, intersting for all the family , and under priced. We will be reviewing with photos from next week . Definately recommended for any locals or tourists wanting amazing quality and value lunch or dinner. Thanks Auberge de Soliel

I can not rate the restaurant currently, what I can say: We were at the restaurant many times in the 1980ies. At the time traditional french cuisine: Potage Legume always as first course, varying main courses changing daily and as dessert magnificent home-made ice cream. Really great french kitchen. Now, that's almost 50 years ago, and we haven't been there since then. But my impression from reading the menu and seeing the fotos is, that the owner Damien managed with love and dedication to offer a contemporary version, in Azure, near Lac de Soustons. This is a house with a very long french gastronomic history. We'll have to come back again, after so many years....

20 euros for a very tough steak, 4 chips and some wilted lettuce. Accompanied by several large flies buzzing around the restaurant. Pleasant service but food distinctly average. Most things on the menu were out of stock.

Great little place to eat. The menu’s are all in French, but we managed with a little help from one of the chefs. The food here was great, a nice atmosphere and very friendly waiting staff. I will be back.

A very good restaurant with fresh products ! Very tasty, you will love it! The accras were the best and thé gambas perfectly cooked ! The chef’s wife is very nice and funny! Atmosphère très cool!
