Nous avons été recommandés pour manger dans ce restaurant car il était proche de notre hôtel et ouvert le lundi. Nous avons choisi parmi la sélection du menu fixe (très cher) et avons passé un très bon dîner. Pour 3 plats, fromage et vin, l'addition s'est élevée à plus de 200 livres sterling ! Malheureusement, ce n'est qu'une fois de retour à notre hôtel que nous avons vérifié la facture pour découvrir que nous n'avions pas été facturés au prix du menu fixe mais pour chaque plat individuellement sur le menu. I firmly believe that one can never pay too much for a fantastic meal, however paying too much for something substandard is as good as an insult. Unfortunately this restaurant, on this day, for me, fell into that category. We had oysters to start, no great magic needed in the kitchen there, they were good, though not the best. This was followed by a basically tasteless and very tough steak, although cooked seignant ; with edible mushrooms and potatoes, nothing my local cafe not could have put together for a fraction of the price. the exception was the cheeseboard....a credit to the local cheese producers..not the chef. It was the best dinner i have had in deauville, being my 2nd weekend in the month i have visited some really nice places, Dinner at LA BELLE EPOQUE ET LE LASSAY but AUBERGE LE VIEUX TOUR is i can say one of the best restaurants in the area FRANCHEMENT 10/10 pour le dinner 10/10 staff 10/10 presentation et surtout pour un prix abordable bravo l’équipe.
Nous avons eu le meilleur repas de la semaine ici, et nous ne faisons que les meilleurs restaurants. Un restaurant de quartier, simple et charmant, avec un chef très compétent. J'ai eu ses deux spécialités le ris de veau et la tarte tatin. Les deux étaient phénoménaux, spectaculaires. Et pas très cher pour la qualité de la nourriture.
We had the best meal of the week here, and we only do top restaurants. A neighborhoody restaurant, simple and charming, with a very knowledgeable chef. I had his two specialties sweetbreads (ris de veau) and tarte tatin. Both were phenomenal, spectacular. And not terribly expensive for the quality of the food.
Excellent reception with a quiet table for the 2 dogs. We took the lobster and €50 menu’s which were both excellent and more than enough. As oysters were in large demand we were also offered scallops as alternative to the menu. All dishes, amuses and sorbets were excellent.
