2016 a local down in Ceret told me of a remote hotel in beautiful mountains by a tiny medieval walled town. An old mansion well loved and seemingly forgotten. I was the only guest for Jean Paul. I had a grand old room with French doors to the balcony looking up the narrow valley and see the strong rapids of the river below, the ancient medieval town my view. The silence of this bucolic home.
