While travelling down A1 from France to Italy we stopped for a break at this place. Now our experience of motorway food in North France is not good and worse than British (except Tebay! if that were possible so our expectations were not high. What a surprise! From minute we walked in people said hello (albeit in German! and the place had a freshness about it. The food was divided into various areas, salads, grills, etc all which looked fabulous. There was a variety of different drinks, alcoholic and non, together with a selection of freshly squeezed juices and smoothies. Had a look at the menu and prices were very reasonable compared to British. Too early for lunch which was a great regret but the coffee and cake made up for it. There was a great childrens ' play area outside and they had there own menu. All our service areas should be taken there to see what they should be providing and what motorway services should look like. We will definitely be back and as this is part of a chain Marche Restaurants we will try out those on way back up to France.
I stopped here for food on the way to Italy last month. The food was absolutely delicious. I had bruschetta, which was super tasty, and some meat and potatoes to go with it. The meat and potatoes were covered in some sort of sauce/cream and were very tasty. I’m not sure what the meat was pork or turkey possibly? Very nice, anyway. I’d recommend all three items I purchased and will be having the same thing again should I ever stop here again, which I undoubtedly will at some point in the future on my way to Italy. It was pricey I must say, however, this is typical of Switzerland.
We stopped here as this used to be one of the nicer motorway restaurants, but we were disappointed by the choice of food, and rather shocked that we were charged CHF 6,95 for a tiny portion of 6 potato slices. The playground outside is also not as appealing as it used to be, though the terrace is still nice. It would be great if the restaurant were to be back to its previous standards soon....
