It was the best meal we had in Quebec City. We ordered soup of the day, grandma’s treat and blueberry pie. We love everything! The soup is simply delicious! A perfect balance of the vegetables flavors. Just the kind of soup I like to drink. We had it with bread. Then it was the main course grandma’s treat with include meat pie, potatoes and meatballs, baked beans, veggies. Everything was so delicious, no crazy flavors just plain good ingredients cooked to perfection! I don’t know how simple looking food with simple tastes can be this delicious! The blueberry pie is also perfect, same as the meat pie which has the perfectly thin soft flaky pie crust! Every bite was perfection. Atmosphere was...

I have eaten here on multiple occasions and have always enjoyed myself. For the most part, the food is great and reflects culinary attributes of the quebecoise culture. I started with the poutine thinking that I had to be in the best place to get one, but I was quite disappointed (fries were nothing special, the gravy was pretty tasty, very few curds, nothing was hot and melted). I strongly do not recommend. After, I had the bison and LOVED it. The flavors and textures were both excellent. I also had the maple syrup pie and found it quite tasty.Service was great. Very friendly. Thank you!

Visited this restaurant September 2023. This is a must do if you're in old Quebec city. For history sake alone! House was built in 1675!Food: Well prepared and served in a timely manner.Service: Outstanding service from the moment you walk in. (best make a reservation though)Atmosphere: As I said, to be enjoying a meal in one of the oldest homes in old Quebec, just an awesome experience.Price: Dinner was a little expensive $64, when you consider that the same exact menu is $39, during the lunch time. All in all, we loved it. What a quaint place for dinner. Truly a French Canadian meal that reminded me of eating with French relatives as a child albeit elevated with beautiful plating and presentation. Every detail was on point making this so enjoyable. I can’t say enough about our server Nicolas. We took his recommendation for the starter which was delicious and the main courses were also so good. Nicolas was attentive and we truly felt welcomed. We were served quickly and never felt rushed as we chose the three course dinner.

This is a Quebec City classic! I came for the meat pie, which was great, but the pie crusted salmon with lobster sauce was AMAZING! Completely unexpected. And for dessert, the Maple Syrup Pie is an explosion of flavor that you shouldn't go another day without trying.

I ordered red wine, meat pie, cordon bleu, and creme brulee and I paid 60 bucks. The food was obviously tasty, but the price was expensive for me. So if you afford to try this, it would be a great experience.

Very historic restaurant. Sadly not able to eat there but did looks good. Ones of the oldest houses in the area. More the red roof so they can find it in the snow! Réservez une table maintenant
