The food of this French Patisserie is a delight for the visual senses as well as serving gastronomic delights. Open Tuesday to Saturday for coffee and cake and light lunches. Seating is limited so a takeway may be an option. The mainstay, however, are the cakes and pastries which have to be seen to be believed. Beautifully creative and delightfully pleasing to the palate. As a regular customer, I still find it hard to choose, although the Berry Frambois is a favourite.
We ordered the "bleeding heart" & "duo au chocolat". The former was a delicate framboise on a macaron base, filled with berry coulis & covered in strawberry jelly. The flavours are sublime & the soft velvety centre paired with the gentle crunch & chewiness of the macaron was delightful. The latter is a light mousse cake with pleasing flavours of white & milk chocolate.
Called in for a coffee and treat mid morning with friends and loved it! First impression was so very good - warm welcome from staff and even other customers, the setting is inviting and the display of patisseries, wonderful!Had to sample a range of goodies and picked up a quiche for lunch which was well priced. Definitely worth the visit!
A favourite place of mine. Richard the owner is the real deal from France. His desserts are fabulous and are sold in many cafes around town. Once you have them you will recognise them wherever you go. Saturday baguettes are delicious too. Cute little place only problem when it's busy you won't find a seat. You can get takeaway. Delicious array of quality sweet treats and friendly staff. This is only a small shop but worth popping in if you're near Brighton Beach though I do wish they had a store in the city as well. The only hard part is deciding what to eat! Really enjoyed the raspberry cheesecake with white chocolate and pistachio.
