Small interior and a good terrace. We sat on the terrace for a late dinner and it was very dark because the lighting has not yet risen (it is in the works). That said it was very nice outside and the view is good from the 3rd floor. Drinks were great and they offered local beers to the design. Touts one of the best bartenders in the Bay Area under the name Jesse Peterson. Their creations are also presented at The Last Word and often seen in the Sutherland Distillery. Menu for food was somewhat limited, but my wife and both had a burger and it was good. The burger was well dimensioned, but not monstrous, and her shoe strings were crispy. I think this place will be good with happy hour price in the week and the after-work crowd that will have a drink on the raised terrace with the sunset. I like it, too, that it's only after 9 a.m. adults, and you won't have any screaming kids that beat your Manhattan out of your hand. I want to see a few outside of TVs that could be discovered in the late afternoon, because during the football season my choice for dinner is usually over where I can see the game. Overall, a large space and will probably be part of my normal livermore rotation.
We were able to get in tonight on the soft opening, and despite the warnings of bad service and slow food, we had neither! Kid had late practice and was hungry, so it worked to our favor that we got a late spot. He had the Dallas burger and pretty much inhaled it in about 3 bites. He is pretty picky, so we ordered it with no produce and the onion strings on the side, and it came out exactly as ordered. We also ordered the gringo tacos and the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Both of those were great. The taco shells were crisp and didn't get soggy. Our bill was wrong when we got it, but that was only because they never charged us for my son's soda. ; And they didn't add it on even after we pointed it out. It was fun using my Sky Guide App to look at the constellations and to also see all the planes coming in to land at the various airports. We got asked for our opinion as we left, and enjoyed talking with the owner. I think this will turn into a great place!
The exterior seats on the roof top for a fantastic view. Service was good, waiter was very nice and regularly checked for us. The food was great. Only at 8:00 it was very dark that you need your phone to see the menu and see your food, but from what I hear the outdoor lighting is not yet open. Once, it's a pretty cool spot. I recommend the outside seat. To be a soft open, they all did a great job. Besides, it was funny to give the pass phrase to get in. Job well done hope this place does it. Nothing like the city. We'll be back.
The new menu items are delicious. The Fried Chicken Plate, Steak Tacos and Chicken Sandwich were amazing! Really delicious Twists on all 3 entrees. The ambience is so relaxing and the sunsets on the outdoor terrace are really beautiful. Whether you are with the family, for the business or on a date night, you will not be disappointed.
