Ayat is not your typical dining experience. In fact, you don’t really need a reservation to eat here—just walk in, place your order, and find a seat; your food will be brought to your table. I should have done my research before booking it for my fiancée's birthday. Since it was listed on OpenTable, I assumed it offered table service. This isn't really a place for a formal dining experience, but we made the best of it while we were there. That said, the food is incredible—huge portions, so come ready to share! We absolutely loved the Mixed Grill and the Mezze Filistini, which were just a couple of the many dishes we tried. The menu feels like a dartboard: just throw a dart and order whatever...

Overall, most reviews of this restaurant seem to hit the mark. It’s a vibrant and enjoyable spot to enjoy some tasty food. However, if you don’t like using plastic utensils or ordering at the register, this may not be the right place for you. You might find that some menu items are unavailable, so being flexible and open-minded will help you have a great experience. I highly recommend the Fattat Jaj.

Pictured: Mixed Grill Platter $28 Chicken Platter $13 Both platters were so delicious and the portions were very big. The restaurant itself is quite small and very busy so there might be a little wait time. The food arrived in about 10 minutes and tasted so fresh. Definitely check out this Palestinian restaurant! My family and I visited Ayat to celebrate a birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. The food and ambiance were both excellent, and the service was outstanding. They even allowed us to cut a cake to celebrate. I'm already looking forward to our next visit to Ayat! Réservez une table maintenant

I wish they could be a bit more consistent with their food. Some days, the dishes are excellent, while other days they lack flavor or are overly sour. Perhaps it’s time to focus on improving the chef?
