Build mutet to old GDR buildings. Otherwise a pretty bad 3-star hotel, but in a very good location directly at Rennsteig and Thüringer Wald. Other positive things are the food that tastes very good at 90%, but there is also one or other exception, and the pool that is very small but is not visited on weekdays, although hygiene might be a bit better, there is also only one women/men dressing room with lockers. Now to the negative, the service is usually rude and consists of many foreign part-time workers who sometimes speak only broken German, the parking spaces are right in front of the hotel and a parking fee is required, but it is not exactly safe and everyone could get access very quickly because it is not monitored. And the rooms are quite old-fashioned, from time to time you will find traces of the pre-inhabitants, like in the bathroom a non-gelled garbage bucket or an empty minibar. Finally, I can only never say a holiday at the Berghotel in Friedrichroda again.

Here, the food tastes really great. Very delicious steacks in a normal value for money. But the best thing about this restaurant is the view. This stylish restaurant is located at the top of the maple hotel. On bright days you really have a great and very wide view in the 270° round view. Ma can watch the sunset nicely in the evening and look at the Thuringian forest in all its beauty. Here I always like to come and highly recommend this REstaurant.
