Nevertheless, it still offers great value for the money. The decor hasn't changed—it's simple and clean. If you prefer a booth, be sure to request one when making your reservation, as it's a small establishment and booths are limited. My wife enjoyed the duck noodle soup, while my son had the tonkatsu dinner, which is quite filling, but he managed to tackle it with no problem. The pork cutlet was beautifully fried and served with plenty of side dishes. I opted for the unagi dinner, featuring broiled eel alongside various sides....
I was at LAX airport and decided to search for nearby sushi restaurants. Maps directed me to this place. When my daughter and I arrived, we waited to be seated. After the server seated another group, she approached us and asked if we had a reservation. I found this odd because she didn’t ask the other group the same question, and we had arrived at the same time. The restaurant had plenty of open tables, but I noticed that all the other patrons seemed to share a common characteristic: they looked quite different from my daughter and me. So, we ended up going across the street to a pizza place instead, even though my daughter loves sushi. We had traveled to Japan specifically for her to enjoy...
I was truly impressed by both the food and service! This charming, intimate restaurant features a sake bar and two U-shaped tables, along with a few cozy booths. I highly recommend making a reservation! The prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes and the quality of the food. Each dish is beautifully presented and accompanied by a variety of sides. The tempura soba was comforting, and I really enjoyed the assortment of vegetable tempura. The fish in the sushi gozen was incredibly fresh and it also included katsu, tempura, soba, and a tofu side dish! The waitstaff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely sweet.
This beloved local eatery is family-owned and serves delicious food at reasonable prices, accompanied by outstanding service. They offer fantastic lunch specials as well. For parking, you can take advantage of the free parking available at the back of the restaurant (with 7 spaces) or take your chances with street parking, especially during the busy lunch hour. Overall, it's an excellent choice for a casual lunch.

I chose this restaurant because I was craving Japanese food during my trip to Los Angeles. I ordered a set meal, and everything was absolutely delicious. Additionally, my family members in Mexico have noted that Japanese food in Los Angeles is more affordable than most Japanese restaurants back home. I would definitely love to return if I get the chance!
