Was in Karlsruhe for a night enroute to Black Forest and had to have dinner. One of our friends had looked this one up while we were planning the trip in London. Simply to sum up, it was awesome.. Although having a traditional beer house look, the place is quite distinct and has a kitchen garden ambience.. Great food.. the schnitzels, bratwurst.. I'd a pork dish inMushroom sauce and twirled fries.. everything was yummy.. and the beer was great as well.. I'd a stein after a long time .. although we had parked our cars nearby, after walking to the restaurant we realised that there was a car park just next to the beer house.. so that helps in case you have one in the group who is either not dri...
we were here with a group. as we had pre-ordered, we got our own room. the service was slightly overwhelmed with the drinks. but at the end everyone had what he had ordered. the food came quickly and we enjoyed it very well. the beer was also very delicious. the brewhouse consists of some flats with the most varied rooms, for up to 1000 guests. from the third etage anyone can slide down via a slide. the large, glazed inner courtyard can be completely opened. the whole building is absolutely worth seeing.
we got what we expected. the carving with pommes and the sausage salad were good and the beer very tasty. the locality is appealing. Conclusion: the price/performance ratio fits, eating is nothing special, but for a brewhouse more than sufficient.
the order was delicious. because it was my first in the bathroom, I was a little disappointed. I had more of a Bavarian before I had. it tasted but good and therefore the initial irritation was quickly distorted!
