Backerei Aurhammer

Backerei Aurhammer is located around the corner from the St. Peter and Paul church in Oberammergau. We could tell the locals frequent the bakery as there was a constant flow of people in and out. We sat at one of the outside tables and enjoyed...an excellent coffee made from beans locally roasted in Garmisch. We liked the coffee so much we bought a pound to take home! There is a wonderful selection of pastries and breads, as well as ready to go sandwiches it was hard to choose. We shared a tasty cherry kuchen. Friendly service, staff who speaks English, lovely pastries highly recommend!

This delightful bakery is just a short distance from the centre of Oberammergau. It's range of breads, rolls, sweet pastries, and other bakery items is top quality. I first visited it on Christmas Eve and was surprised but very pleased to see that, above the...glass counters, the bakery had hung numbered slabs of gingerbread on strings a perfect Advent Calendar for a great bakery. In the mornings when I visited there were queues of eager customers, and a flock of cheerful friendly staff. Highly recommended!

This is a very classy baker shop with a few tables and chairs on the terrace if you want to eat in. Menu is limited to classic breads, cakes and pastries but all very up-market and prices are generally at a premium. I think I...was in here on every day of my stay in Oberammergau for my fresh and morish daily bread. Very friendly staff. All the locals come here.

this is a very noble baker shop with some tables and chairs on the terrace if you want to eat. the menu is limited to classic brote, cake and baked, but all very high and prices are in the rule a premium.
