Upscale and elegant eatery in the very heart of Einsiedeln, just a few steps from Einsiedeln Kloster/Cathedral. Zunfthaus Baren is tucked away on the first floor, past the bakery. Cozy and welcoming, yet unmistakably upscale vibe. Food and drinks are of stellar quality. Beef burger was moist, succulent and immensely satisfying. Beef soup with mushrooms was truly soul-warming, a must have on a chilly or rainy day. Thumbs up!

This restaurant is close to the monastary but only offers one main dish (currently black rice) and salad on the menu, and according to staff also chocolate mousse and a sandwich. The outdoor seating doesn't look to inviting, though. Updated from previous review on 2019-11-18
