Bagel Jay's Bakery Cafe

I had a bagel with some cheesy goodness alongside a cup of tea. The bagel was delicious, and the cream cheese was abundant; however, it cost $13, which felt a bit excessive for just a bagel! I noticed they offer some appealing lunch specials, like a half bagel with soup, which were reasonably priced. While I would consider going back for a bagel with cream cheese and lox, I don't think I'll return otherwise. The staff was friendly, and the service was excellent, but overall, I found it to be quite overpriced.

Every time I’ve visited Bagel Jay’s, their bagels have been excellent, whether enjoyed on a sandwich or on their own. I would certainly welcome another local bagel shop to spark some friendly competition, but I know this won't be my last visit to Bagel Jay’s. Its convenient location near my workplace and reasonable prices will keep me coming back for a bagel with cream cheese.

I completely disagree with Dawn's opinion. The bagels here are the same size but much fresher. Since it's a local business rather than a chain, the prices are understandably higher. I really enjoy the Sahlen's ham sandwich on an everything bagel. Keep an eye out for coupons in mailers like Valpak to get the best value. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

During the travel hockey season, this is our go-to spot when they’re on the road. It tends to be quite busy, so be aware that it may take some time to get served. However, the wait is definitely worth it!

Best bagels in New York! They have fantastic breakfast bagel sandwiches, and their tuna melt bagels are perfect for lunch. They also offer delicious bagels with holes and savory cheese bagels.
