Dropped by for an evening meal for 2. Not many tables occupied when we arrived but we got the impression very soon that the owner was under pressure to hold the 5 or so already occupied happy. Only one table was eating the rest either waiting for food already ordered or trying to settle their bill. Before we ordered I asked if things would be slow only to be told he had 45 yrs experience and was on top of things ... when I suggested the problem might be in the kitchen I was immediately rebuffed with the fact that it was his wife who ran the kitchen. What an amazing restaurant and owner. We've been coming here 3 years on the trot and each time it was a pleasure and treat to be greeted by an always smiling waiter/owner who has been doing this for 40years who had just received an award for such service. Such a warm and family welcome everytime and always remembered. Food is always a pleasure no matter what we've chosen. Can't say a better word about the the owner. To some he might seem out of character like spinning plates on fingers and whistling, and the occasional hug. But it's a very kind and innocence gesture that's sadly lacking today. We visited this place twice in a week it was so good, Not expensive at all and pizzas were some of best ever had the 1/2 chicken was very tasty portions very large. fed family of 4 with drinks (lager a whopping vodka& 2 cokes for €40 we were made to feel so welcome our first visit and like old friends on our 2nd. The beautiful views over the beach on a lovley sunny evening made it even more perfect. We would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again on next visit to Blanes.
