It was our first holiday in London and in the early morning, we visited our first attraction, Madame Tussaud's. Around 12:30, we were feeling really hungry and decided to have our first lunch at a restaurant located right next to the museum. We were excited and looking forward to a nice meal. The restaurant had a small cozy atmosphere, perfect for a quick bite to eat. They had a variety of options such as pizzas, sandwiches, lasagna, and several non-vegetarian rice dishes to choose from. The concept was self-service, where you could choose your food and then find a table to enjoy your meal after paying. The process was easy to understand and navigate. Arrived early to Madame Tussaud’s so thought we’ll have some food beforehand. Went in and were not disappointed. Decent food and quite a big variety for a small place. We all (8 people) had different stuff and all looked and tasted good. Initially I found it expensive but then it was for 8 and in London on the doorstep of Madame Tussaud’s so if you work out it’s very reasonably priced. The only thing bothered me slightly that the lady on the shop floor was somewhat overly eager and nice. Definitely go back again if I’m around.
This small café is tucked away from the bustling main street of Marylebone, located on a quieter side road. It offers outdoor seating with a lovely view of Madame Tussauds. Although primarily a café, it also serves food and alcohol. I used to stop in here for quick breaks during university, spending around £10 per person. The service is exceptional, with friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy café experience in central London.
As a Portuguese person, I went with three friends to try the English breakfast. I am not a frequent consumer of English breakfast, but it was a great experience. The sausages were delicious, and the tomatoes with oregano and mushrooms were excellent. We had the breakfast with black coffee at 11 o'clock and we ate again at 7 o'clock. It was a good choice and the staff was very friendly. They even knew some Portuguese and that was really nice.
