We had a very disappointing evening at Balter. I made a reservation for 6 pm for our party of 7 about a week ago. When we checked in for our table we were advised that someone had been seated at our table, incorrectly and we would have to wait. They estimated 20-30 minutes. We had made the reservation for my husbands birthday dinner. They offered to seat us outside in the 40's with two young kids so didn't work). They offered us a booth but we had 7 people and would not fit. So we ended up having to wait almost an hour before being seated. We finally got into one of the igloos. I recently dined at Balter Beerworks for the first time and was impressed by the friendly hospitality, even with a packed house on a Friday night. The warm, spicy roasted green tomato beer cheese soup was incredibly delicious, and I would definitely order it again on my next visit. Our server was attentive and accommodating; when I asked if the dark corn masa flour tortilla could be replaced with a regular corn tortilla, I was met with a cheerful "Sure!" The food is absolutely amazing, bursting with flavor in every dish we've tried. It was so good that we went back the very next day to enjoy more. Plus, they offer $7.50 mimosa pitchers until 3 PM, which is a nice bonus. Our first night there, the service was excellent, but unfortunately the next day it fell short. We experienced a long wait for our food, but it wasn't due to the kitchen; our server spent too much time socializing with other staff at a back table. I really enjoy the atmosphere and the bartenders are fantastic, but for the fourth and final time, I had to return my food because it was cold! I could tell just by looking at it, even before tasting, that it wasn't fresh. The potatoes were overcooked and dry. I visited when the restaurant first opened, and I've noticed a decline in food quality since then. I appreciate the effort that goes into the drinks and food, but things need to improve! The food was good, but the management was not very helpful and was unwilling to accommodate our larger group. We had made reservations and were the first ones in the restaurant at 10:00. It was 31 degrees outside, and we were seated outdoors. Additionally, because of our party size, they placed us in three different igloos and refused to split the bill. One person had to pay for all the meals. We won’t be returning.

Staff, food, and atmosphere are great! The only downfall was for the chicken and waffles the waffles were very tasty but not very fluffy. When you took a bite you had the the crunchy texture but the inside just kind of went flat. Lost all the air.However, the chicken was amazing. And also the burger was awesome!

My first visit was with a group of coworkers, and I was incredibly impressed by the food selection. It was packed with flavor and offered a unique twist that set it apart from other places. Everything was truly delightful, especially the fried green tomatoes and the Balter burger. Delicious!

This place was sooo good! Will come back! I?m on keto and there were many options for me to pick from and were very accommodating ! Great staff !!! This restaurant is fantastic! We received excellent service and tried the beer flight, which featured all delicious options. Everyone else’s food was also incredibly tasty!

The brunch menu she loved our group in one of the outdoor Igloos. Even without reservation, waiting was not terrible.
