"good food. Although the place itself was quite large and not intimate, eating was excellent and the service good. the facilities were clean and modern. the price-performance ratio was perfect and the selection of weeping, beating and spirituosen excellent. the management here must have something right."

the baltic looks like a fine restaurant and is beautifully illuminated with a huge top light. the white thema running through the restaurant makes the venue incredibly easy and brings a great mood into the dining immediately. eating was exaggerated with an Eastern European meat, fish and drinks. the food we had was absolutely amazing and we were cared for by the workers, as it was my friend's birthday, we got a free shot and a birthday cake for them. we were asked to check the venue, but my views are not influenced by it and I will visit 100% again!

great meal. Wife had 3 curs theater meal and both salads were fantastic. I couldn't decide on a first so ordered a selection of knödel and skaloppler appetizer. scallops were really good. spetzle with speck and hept had a very satisfying taste. the whisper was the whisper. I would call it a Dutch pancake over a frit, but whatever they call, I want more of it. this is a place where we would come back.

Baltic an unexpected find. An unexpected find close to Waterloo. Started with a selection of salmon, herring, roe aubergine caviar blinis, followed by Lamb Shashlik Confit of Duck with beetroot. Waiter recommended quaffable bottle of beaujolais. We finished with some dill basil vodka at the unexpectedly hip bar and then floated happily homeward over Blackfriars Bridge.

It is a sad fact that the meal peaked with the starter, but the service was warm and the ambience relaxing enough to make it a welcome break from a stuffy office. With a complete lack of pretence and a very cheap set menu offering, it is well worth a lunch visit. Just don’t wear a tuxedo or order a martini. It may be the last thing you ever do.
