I am only not marking this place 2 stars as only tried 2 dishes on the menu which is not necessarily representative. The som tam salad was 90% carrot but redeemed by a very tasty dressing so I finished it. But may as well just call it carrot salad ! The pad thai was gloopy and I thought had a good whack of tomato ketchup in it. I lost the will to finish it. Service was nice enough and as it was the third Thai place I had stuck my head into, the decor was at least the nicest. But now I will never know if the other 2 places would have been better choices on the food front!
Bangrak Thai is well worth a visit, We started with some sharing plates of Squid, Belly Pork and Bangrak Samplers, all the starters were freshly cooked and tasted beautiful, we then had an intermediate course of Tom Yum Soup, I’d really recommend the soup. As we did with the starters we ordered 4-5 different main dishes to share. This is a lovely restaurant in a great central location on the Quayside. Look forward to our next visit.
The food was unbelievable, cooked in a light dough that was delicious and crispy, but also not heavy or drop in fat, the battery is often beautiful interior and beautiful staff, felt locally and independent, unlike some larger restaurants would recommend 100 percent for any avid Thai cuisine Essener
Small restaurant very close to the Tyne bridge. Maybe around ten tables with 30 covers. Menu contained all of the dishes you might expect to see. The food quality was outstanding. Good quality raw ingredients perfectly blended with spices.

I called in the night before the Great North Run on my tod and managed to grab a table right by the window. Very friendly staff and an amazing ambience. Food was divine with lots of chillis. Highly recommended.
My partner and I love this place. The food is great. One of the best Thai restaurant, if not the best say how I have been to few of them.
Pretty average Thai food, nothing special. Menu is a plastics sheet, always a bad sign.They seem they want you out to close early,
the food was top notch . and the service try it out, they will love it. I hope to see them there on Sunday
