Dear Sajjad and Indian Food Fans,<br/ <br/ Thank you for taking the time to list a bunch of your favourite Indian restaurants within the GTA. After the appointment, Danny and I went out to Banjara Indian Cuisine (east of Yonge and Eglinton) as you had recommended. <br/ <br/ We were tired, cranky and hungry. I almost went inside of another local Indian restaurant. We walked past McDonald's and the Goodlife gym and then some more (10-15 minute walk). <br/ <br/ It's a semi-basement level restaurant. Right when you open the entrance door, there will be steps. This probably won't be suitable for people with mobility aids and can probably arrange take-outs.<br/ <br/ Like other Indian restaurants,...

Was very close to giving full 5-stars for my overall dining experience here, but there was a very unfortunate mix-up towards the end of my dinner. The waiter had mixed up our bill with that of another table. I had already paid everything with the tip applied for this wrong bill when the waiter realized about the mismatch some time later. I then had to pay the difference between the 2 bills in another card payment later. This ordeal ruined an otherwise good dinner with a couple of my companions. It was a good thing that Banjara serves really excellent Indian fare. This might not be appreciated by all, but food preparation can take some time. I would like to believe that is because the food is...

I ordered Uber eats for dinner tonight. I did request the restaurant prepare and send cutlery, and I was very annoyed that none arrived seeing that I am not staying at my place and I am at a hotel. That kind of left me feeling upset to start things off. I love Indian food and eat it on a very regular basis, and I have travelled to India. The food has flavour but it was not the best Indian food I have had. I was disappointed after this restaurant was recommended to me by two different people. I would say it is average. Don't get me wrong, It is good but did not wow me. Thee rice was bland. The naan was good and nice and buttery too. The chana was good but not spicy. I have to say the food was...

It's a 10-15 minute walk east from Yonge and Eglinton. This is a semi-basement restaurant. You will need to climb down a flight of stairs. So if you have mobility issues, you may have to arrange take out. Danny and I arrived two hours before closing. Service could have been better. They were rushing to pack up to leave. At times, it was hard to get the server's attention. Danny and I enjoyed the tamarind sauce, samosa, chicken pakoras and chicken dinner combo (he selected vindaloo chicken as his meat of choice). I did not enjoy my butter chicken because it did not taste fresh and there were barely any herbs. I loved their garlic naan because they made theirs different.

A blessing!! That's what this place is! Our go-to place whenever we develope cravings for Indian food, which is almost every other weekend. I'm a sucker for their Madras chicken and rice pudding . I love their biriyani too (an instant hit with our Indian friends). There lunch combo is such worth for your money, I tell you! Their ambience is pretty decent too. Banjara is easily the best Indian food option available around Yonge and Eg.

This Indian spot offers amazing food in a cozy ambiance. We ordered cauliflower pakora, seekh kabab (lamb , palak paneer, and butter naan. All of them are delicious, especially the pakora and palak paneer! I also love their mint chutney and tamarind chutney. They paired so well with all the food. :

We just had a lamb biryani. Which was pretty good spices, portions of lamb and raita. However, hats off to the excellent service and smiling faces throughout even though our order was tiny. I'd say keep up the good work. Don't get to see a lot of service around here in Canada.

My experience was really good at Banjara the food was really authentic south indian food which was great, it so far is the vest indian I have had in Toronto. Unfortunately they only had 1 waiter serving during lunch so the service wasnt great

I had my order mixed up . Went home and realized it was different order . Had to come back. Weird thing is they are priced higher by 4-5 per dish in Uber eats compared to their own website price.
