"I have already been twice at Banksii and I guess I will return. I love the food here. It is not just food, it's a tasting experience. I loved every single dish I have tried, no exception, and there was no dish which was just OK, they are all amazing. It is new and comfortable, exciting and reassuring.Service and wine choice are very good as well."

My sister was visiting and so we walked across the bridge, around Barangaroo and landed at Banksii for lunch. We arrived early and so managed a waterside table in the sun. We then settled into the phenomenal spritz menu, the palm beach and the Campari went down a little too well. They were great.But the real treat was the set lunch special. Between us we had everything so we could try it all, bread, warm olives, unbelievable puffy gnocchi with spinach and mushrooms, a stunning sausage and coleslaw combo, salad, deconstructed trifle and a delightfully drippy cheese and crackers. And the staff were great, making sure we knew when our ferry was due. What a delicious winter lunch treat.

Food and service were a big let down. Even when specifically asked, my waiter didn't explain the right combination and number of dishes that should be ordered for a group of 6 having lunch, she just started trying to sell the lamb which is the most expensive item on the menu. The group I was with weren't concerned by how much things cost and would have happily ordered two serves of each dish, but because we hadn't been advised to do so, 6 people were sharing a 200g piece of fish. There simply wasn't enough food.The short rib and desserts were delicious, but the rest (and we tried a lot) were underwhelming. Very average.

We went here for a friends 27 birthday party. We opted for the $79 bottomless brunch. The food was nice although very small portions. My only complaint is that the drinks were not bottomless. The waiter advised that they would not start the bottomless until...our friend came who was running late (which was very kind). However they were slow to fill up drinks and when we them for a last drink and the waiter (a very sassy female waiter) said the time was up. We explained we started 20 minutes late. It was 2 minutes passed. She said we could purchase drinks. 3/7 were driving...

The restaurant was suggested by friends local to Sydney and it didn't disappoint.We were a large group with a big age range so always interesting to see how everyone would be catered for.We were given a lovely big table under a couple of patio heaters with blankets on the back of our chairs.The maître d' and serving staff were all unobtrusively helpful and friendly. We ordered a range of starters and mains for sharing which all came very quickly.A super night out. Réservez une table maintenant

Having visited a number of restaurants in the Barangaroo precinct we were looking forward to our visit to Banksii with high hopes and unfortunately they were not met. We had to wait on cocktails (which tasted more like cough medicine), several drink orders were not...filled and then had to ask for our order to be taken. Food was nice but that was the only nice thing about our evening. Would not recommend this restaurant and certainly will not be returning

This place has so much wasted potential. I am local to Barangaroo and went to this place for a drink last Friday night. I only wanted a couple of drinks and was rushed in for last drinks. My order was rushed and then it took over 20 minutes to get to my table. I could tell that the host was annoyed that it was a small order. I had visited Banksii a couple of days earlier and ordered a bottle of wine. The wine was of low quality and was quite expensive.

I tried this place yesterday as recommended and was impressed. first of all, the position on the barangaroo wharf is excellent, it was good and really packed there on a Thursday night. they had a large selection of mouth-based. kocktails and I tried the manhattan, which was very good. really interesting dinge on the menu like falafel, zucchini flowe, heavy fish, spatchcock. we tried them all, and they were all delicious. comes back indefinitiw.

I visited with work colleagues and we shared a range of dishes selected from the menu. Included were the lamb, the snapper, smoked beetroot salad, oysters and others. It was hard to fault the dishes, all were delicious. Thea,punt of food was just right.The drinks were good. I tried a vermouth (orange flavours) and really enjoyed it. The wine we selected was excellent. I was impressed with the waiting staff. All up a good experience. Réservez une table maintenant

Very nice atmosphere sitting outside facing the water view of darling harbour. Very thoughtfull to have shawls avalilable with the dining chairs. Dinner was better than expected, I dont usually eat or finish a dessert, but the truffle bites and chocolate dish dessert I will come back with my friends. Waiting staff were amazing !! Thanks for the hospitality.
