Banmaai - Réserver une table

We had organized a meeting with a friendly couple who had suggested meeting this restaurant. At 18:00 we entered the restaurant and came right behind the door to a group of waiting people – what are they waiting for? The tables visible from this view were occupied with a maximum of 20, and we could not see our friends from there either. There was no greeting from the staff of the house, the rulers were not with me knowing what was occupied and took no note from the waiters. after some time calling for reservation from new opening time and always get fully booked, today we ware there on Thursday without reservation and we got a table, the restaurant is not full at all. We had starters with shrimps sauer soup & chicken cocos soup, that was all ok. The main courses was not the right choice when we had Tuna Steak with salat and souse in Thai art, and Thai chicken curry... they are not like we expected, the fish was very hard, no taste and dry, the souse is very salty so we have to take a lot of rice together. Banmaai is a wonderful Thai restaurant with Ambiente, top service and most of all a menu of Thai wok and curry dishes that must find its equal in Germany let alone Kiel. I dine quite regularly at the Banmaai and have never been disappointed in trying something new almost every time.

Nice place, good choice of Thai curry dishes. My spicy curry was not that spicy though. At least not that spicy according to the Asian standard : Good choice of cocktails, which are a bit pricey.

The food was averige, Spicy but little mistake Nothing special. The beer and the cocktails were great. The service and the interior were good.
