we have chosen baonecci ristorante to enjoy an authentic Italian meal. the restaurant was shorthanded, which seems to be the norm in this pandemic, but the personal has made a great task to care for the customers. we started our meal with bruschetta, which was very fresh and had a perfect balance of tomaten, garlic and basilikum. for a deserving we had the meat ravioli with bolognese sauce, which was absolutely delicious. made at home, like everything there, with the perfect balance of the sauce to add the pasta. we also had the arrabbiata, which was also very tasty, but very sharp, as advertised. the atmosphere is very relaxed and casual. A trip to San Francisco wouldn't be complete without a visit to our favorite small, family-run Italian restaurant in North Beach. The food is outstanding—no oversized pasta dishes or mass-produced meals here. Everything is lovingly prepared by Mama in the kitchen. The impossibly thin pizza crust is rare to find, and the tomato sauce is pure perfection. They make their pasta in-house, and I could rave about this place for ages. Skip the big tourist attractions and discover this hidden gem instead!

Hands down the best Italian food we’ve had. This place is owned and ran by a Tuscan family. One of the sons was our waiter. They also make the wine they serve. Prices are reasonable and ambiance perfect for all occasions.
