"What more could you possibly want from a bar: salsa classes, beer pong, pictures of epic beards for inspiration! In a great location right off the main square. The owners were very welcoming and made sure we all had a great time."

I lived in Guatape for 5 weeks whilst I was doing some volunteer work in the area. In this time I checked out pretty much every bar and discoteque in the entire town but there aren't any that are as good as this one. Chilled/relaxed atmosphere, great music (which isn't played unbelievably loud like most of the other bars), good mix of travellers and really friendly locals in the area. Boris has done a ridiculously good job in creating a perfect mix of chilled/relaxed and it's great for a party on weekends. Each day has a different theme also so if you're in the Guatape area and are wanting to go for a drink I couldn't recommend this bar more!

Bar Baroja moved recently to a new location on the plazoleta. The new bar is much bigger than the old one. The owners created a place to feel comfortable and decorated it with a lot of lovely details. The mix out of locals and travelers is perfect. If you want to enjoy a cold beer or a good cocktail in guatape you should definitely visit bar baroja!

Nice place, just re-opened this March with James and Charlotte at the counter. Nice place to just sit, drink and talk to the variety of 'foreigners ' and 'locals '. Enjoyed opening evening at a table with an Aussie, American, Colombian, New-Sealand, Polish guy, German with an occasional French, Belgium and English guy running around.. Nice!

Our little group of 5 would have been out of place in what is clearly a young people's bar. But we went for happy hour (between 6 and 8) and had a nice drink in a quaint street. The charming red-bearded owner attended us and was friendly and helpful. Very informal atmosphere and service, so let your U.S. expectations at the door and enjoy!
