Simple food but very tasty. We stayed in Ardales to walk the Caminito Del Rey and tried this restaurant after the experience of the other option. Stopped for a drink at lunch time first and booked for the evening after talking to a couple of bikers (Expat) who had travelled up from the cost. I had the meatballs and my wife an omelette, which were both quite simple meals but ones we really enjoyed. Don't know what sauce was on the meatballs but boy was it good. We had a little 18 day tour around Andalucia and for me the meal here was one of the nicest we had.
We want to eat in another restaurant at the Caminito, but they were full, so we chose la cantina. We ordered a lot of different things, I had bread with tuna, just a nice bread nothings special. We also had a wrong order, we were with 6 people and we got 7 meals. The chips were soaked with oil and you can bend them without that it breaks. The staff wasn’t nice, she couldn’t laugh once and she didn’t speak English so she couldn’t understand us. The egg was still raw while we said we want both sides fried. The toilet was okay.
I saw the comments that gave me a bit of relief, but I decided to stop, and what I realized is that people are a small sibarita and señoritinga, that if you have to wait that you will not stop here that such that, see, it is a small bar with a lady that at that time takes the part of the outside kitchen and attends, more haste of one would drop to see that working in a bar, offensive with this bad comment
