My Catalan partner and I lunched here last week. Although she is local, she had not eaten there before. It 's just off a main street along from the market.A quiet sidestreet so fine for sitting outside.From the look of the other customers, I 'd say they were locals, and the place was busy.Service was brisk and friendly. We had the menu 10.75 I think. What good value!Just as another reviewer has said, the quality was close to home cooking. Tasty and plentiful and that applied to all the courses.She had cigrons amb bolets chickpeas and mushrooms followed by mandongilles de bacalla fishballs of cod . Will try it again to check for consistency, and report again.
The modern restaurant belies the traditional Catalan cooking. The set meal of 3 courses with wine for around 10 euros is great value for money. Can't wait to go back to improve my understanding of Catalan (and for good home cooked food). A little helps when you come to order, but you are in Catalonia and I'm sure they would insist the food is Catalonian, NOT Spanish!

Muy buen restaurante para desayunar, hacer el vermut, o comer al mediodía. Es un sito que nunca falla. La oferta de desayuno está muy bien, por 2,50 bocadillo tipo flauta bastante grande y café. El menú mediodía está muy bien, creo que son 15 euros entre semana, y algo más el finde de semana. Lo recomiendo!

Secondly mini squids in olive oil with garlic and parsley, desert Crema Catalana. Water and red wine €15 per person. Just a wonderful experience. Be on time otherwise you will be in a long waiting list.
Empresa familiar super majos, comida casera, precio de acuerdo a la calidad, todos los platos son muy buenos, ya hemos venido varias veces tanto en pareja como con familia. Totalmente recomendable.
