We popped into this bar early one evening mainly to use the free wifi and ended up returning every night for a week and not just for the technology! It is not the most atmospheric of bars inside, but the outside terrace overlooks the beach and it is really lovely if it is not too windy. The tapas are varied and cheap at E2.50 per plate and they are generous plates. We loved the spinach and chickpeas and the breaded prawns, which were fried in a sort of polenta batter rather than breaded. The glasses of wine were generous too and, after our second visit, the waiter remembered what we had and almost brought the drinks over without being asked. The head waiter, Paul from Portugal, was charming, polite and efficient he reminded me of a young Frankie Valli. Do not be misled into thinking he has limited English. After I heard him say 'May I take your plate? ' and 'Here you are ', I realised this man spoke better English than many English people... and was also fluent in French, Dutch and Italian with a little German. I am not always a fan of radio music in bars, but Atlantis is tuned to an American 80s station and the vibe was brilliant (if you like 80s music, that is). We did not have a meal there, but the menu looked varied and very reasonable. And the wifi was the best connection we found anywhere. As Bryan Adams sang: 'I 'm gonna run to you ' Atlantis, any time I am back in Isla Canela...
