Well, I thought the Spanish all had Menu del Dia but we searched high and low for places that offered this in Caldes d'Estrac with little success. It is a sleepy place and this bar seems to be the only one that is open most of the time. We ate there several times because for around 22 euros we had a reasonable quality starter and main AND a whole bottle of wine and a couple of large beers! I honestly thought they had under charged on the first occasion and left a 7euro tip because I was so pleased. The waitress was dumbstruck and thought we were mad but we were just happy not to be ripped off. Lovely friendly Chinese girls served us. Language barriers overcome with smiles and sign language....
We ate here regularly after coming across the place when many others were closed. It looks like is a bar. Our expectations were not high. It's popular with the locals and there is always someone sat outside with a drink (sometimes a snack too! . The food is very good and reasonably priced and the service is excellent. We ate a number of dishes that were all good and enjoyed wine and beers too.
